Global Compliance Audit Manager
Main Objective:
The Global Compliance Audit Manager will be a valuable member of the Global Compliance Team and will be responsible for assessing risk throughout the company and ensuring the effective performance of compliance audits of the company’s subsidiaries and third-parties. The Compliance Audit Manager will have a solid reporting line to the VP – Global Chief Compliance Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the enhancement of company’s global compliance audit program
  • Develop and present to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Audit Committee an annual audit plan of the company’s subsidiaries and third-parties based on an assessment of risk using an appropriate risk-based methodology
  • Ensure effective execution of the audit plan by conducting and supervising the performance of corporate and third-party compliance audits, including the effective documentation of the audit findings
  • Support the business and other functions in implementing suitable corrective and remedial actions in response to problem areas identified in the audits
  • Provide periodic reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Audit Committee on the status of the annual audit plan, a summary of audit findings, and the implementation of remedial measures
  • Build partnerships with in-country compliance officers, business, and functional stakeholders to assist in the implementation and enhancement of the company’s global compliance program
  • Support investigations of reported compliance-related issues and partner with teams, including Investigations, HR, and Legal to ensure that reported concerns are promptly and thoroughly investigated
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure the company’s values and ethical standards are emphasized, communicated, and integrated; providing training where appropriate
  • Provide advice and interpretation on the company’s code of conduct, compliance policies, relevant health industry regulations, and industry codes
  • Recommend changes to corporate compliance policies and practices to ensure consistency with laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare compliance rules, regulations, enforcement trends, and industry standards
  • Up to 30% travel may be required.

    Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required: preferably in accounting, finance, law, business management, or a related field required
  • Advanced degree in a closely-related field, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or other related professional certifications preferred
  • Previous people management preferred       
  • At least 7 years of monitoring/audit experience required
  • Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry preferred
  • Multi-lingual preferred 
    Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
    Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise risk management, internal audit processes, and laws/regulations applicable to a global healthcare company, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the UK Bribery Act, and U.S. Fraud and Abuse laws required.
    Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
    Working knowledge of standard business software (including Microsoft Office)
