Main Objective:
Provide overall coordination and implementation of corporate training needs and initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Work with all segments of the organization to analyze their training needs and incorporate into a corporate training plan.
  2. Delivers training programs and other learning and development services, specialized workshops, to meet the needs of new and existing employees. 
  3. Acts as a consultant to management regarding learning and development needs.  Provides coaching and feedback on management, collaboration, career development, and other professional skills.  
  4. Researches alternative learning delivery methods such as computer-based and satellite training programs.
Recommends and implements programs which will meet company learning and development needs.  Works with appropriate business areas to implement and test technology.  Markets programs, and reviews utilization records and participant evaluations.
  1. Delivers train-the-trainer programs for division, department and job-specific trainers as identified throughout the organization.
  2. Identifies and implements competency models and recommends and delivers integrated learning and development tools and programs.
  3. Reviews vendor training programs and materials; make recommendations for purchasing new programs and conducts these programs upon request.
  4. Oversees the production of course materials and facilitates training as needed.
  5. Responsible for development of class schedules.
  6. Responsible for Learning Management System team and results.
  7. Evaluate current training programs for web-based training potential.  Work with the creator of the program to map out migration or development path.
  8. Participates in other strategic initiatives and assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
  9. Working with the Director supports the organization’s Bench Strength program.
 Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 10 years as a Trainer, or Learning and Development Specialist in a corporate, or comparable academic environment, required.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to consult with managers to diagnose organizational needs and deliver programs to meet those needs.
  • Ability to build positive and productive relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, flexibility, initiative and commitment in an environment of rapid change. 
    Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
    High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
