Manager - Sales & Operations Planning
Main Objective:
This role will manage all aspects of strategic, long-range planning decision making; working cross-functionally with supply, demand, sales and finance teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as the main point of contact regarding all S&OP matters
  2. Lead S&OP process through collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Operations
  3. Ensure organizational alignment between all functions related to S&OP
  4. Establish and lead execution of a business process to translate annual sales plan into a sales budget in units that can be used to drive supply chain activity for existing and new products
  5. Engage with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Strategic Business Unit leaders to evaluate forecasts vs. actual sales (volume, trends, and mix)
  6. Evaluate and maintain mix assumptions for product families impacted by long lead time components
  7. Engage with Plant Master Scheduler(s) and Material Planner(s) to confirm feasibility of meeting forecasts or to identify gaps
  8. Facilitate discussions between Finance, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to develop mitigation plans for anticipated supply gaps.
  9. Facilitate regular S&OP cycles, including strategic end-of-process reviews with organizational executives on demand/supply plans, issues, and mitigating actions
  10. Develop new and/or improved tools to ensure timely measurement, reporting, and visibility to Product Supply status to all cross functional stakeholders
  11. Responsible for the management of the S&OP process, including demand management, inventory, KPIs and service level process for the Business Unit
  12. Implement forecast accuracy measurement and reporting to drive improvements with key stakeholders
  13. Ensure alignment to demand and supply planning process
  14. Manage monthly S&OP processes, meetings and action plans, issue resolution and tracking
  15. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate S&OP activities to Business Development and Operation teams
  16. Support inventory strategies toward inventory optimization through effective S&OP execution
Education and Experience:
  • Education Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or professional supply chain certification preferred
  • 8 years of S&OP, Supply Chain management, demand or inventory experience required
  • Experience in leading product deployments in fast pace innovation rich industry preferred
  • Experience leading an S&OP functional area within the Medical Device industry is a plus (
  • Prior Medical Device industry experience desired.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
  • Leading and influencing cross-functional teams to make timely and business-critical decisions
  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes management
  • Experience within highly matrixed, fast-paced and highly regulated business environment
  • Excellent communication including written, verbal and presentation to senior level audience
